Stewart Dance Studios - Maraetai (previously The Dance Corner) is a local dance studio based in the Maraetai Beach Community Hall at 12 Rewa Road.
We aim to provide quality dance lessons in Jazz, Tap ,Ballet, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Throughout the year students will be given opportunities to participate in a range of dance experiences, such as NZAMD syllabus exam work where they will receive a nationally recognised qualification and our annual dance production. All of these opportunities are fun, non-compulsory and encouraging for the student to ensure that they experience the love of dance.
SDS dancers have the opportunity to sit NZAMD exams every year in September. NZAMD (New Zealand Association of Modern Dance) was the first New Zealand based dance examination organisation, and is now one of the largest in the country. Click here to visit the NZAMD website.
SDS provides opportunities for our advanced students to participate in dance competitions around the country. Students can participate in solo private lessons to improve their skills.
